Daily Practice

OK, it appears that I am going to have to do something on this dissertation every day.  Just something.  If not as much writing as during dedicated time (always threatened), if not as much reading as during designated reading periods (again, always threatened by other real life things, like washing dishes or watching TV with my daughter, or refilling the hummingbird feeders . . .)

This is not news.  But it’s urgent, especially as I face a weekend of moving furniture to Dayton, Ohio, for the benefit of one of the nieces and attending my daughter’s cousin’s birthday, and generally attending to the kind of family obligations that go along with that agenda.  I have to at least think about it every day.

It is like the object of my own desire.
